Friedrich Quietmaster Programmable SS08L10 air conditioner

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

Friedrich Quietmaster Programmable SS08L10 air conditioner is a very high quality air conditioner that is known for it's stellar performance. The Friedrich is intended to cool single rooms, but can definitely cool down an entire home as well. One thing about the Friedrich is that it's super heavy, especially compared to other air conditioners - it weights 100 lbs., making it double the weight of many other popular air conditioners. One nice feature about the Friedrich is that it's very quiet and remains silent, and doesn't make that annoying humming buzz that many other models do. Despite it's heavy weight, it's very small and compact - it's not quite the size of a normal window frame, a little bit bigger, but is nearly the same size and can be squeezed in. That also makes it easier for a blind or curtain to easily go over the air conditioner.
The Friedrich is also rated by Energy Star, and is very efficient. It takes some time for an entire room to cool down in tempurature, but that's at the air conditioner's lowest setting. There's also an energy saving feature that runs the fan along with the compressor, which helps you save money and a great deal of energy and electiricty. There are four different speeds, which certainly makes it stand out from the competition. There's also a filter that helps stop the growth and promotion of different bacteria's that may be lurking in the room - this is defintley helpful.
You can even program the Friedrich air conditioner to bring your room or multiple rooms to one temperature at a certain time - for instance, if it cools down in the afternoon, you can have the air conditioner go to a lower setting. This is definely one of the quietest air conditioners out there, and even comes with a remote control. While it's a bit expensive, it has a one year warranty and has many features that different air conditioners don't have.
