Review of Whirlpool Side by Side Refrigerator ED2VHEXVQ
Whirlpool Side by Side Refrigerator ED2VHEXVQ
Rating: 3 out of 5
I bought a new Whirlpool side by side refrigerator less than two years ago. Overall, it has proven to be a good purchase and is an attractive appliance is our kitcher, but there are aspects of the machine that leave a little to be desired. The Energy Star feature has been a pleasant surprise helping keep our costs down. We recently changed to all Whirlpool appliances and we have seen a relatively substantial improvement in our electric and gas bills. I have also been impressed with the consistency of the temperature. The refrigerator and freezer both stay very cold and we have never adjusted the setting past the half way point. The door bins have ample space and can even hold gallon jugs. The Pur water filtration system is a solid feature as well, providing great filtered water and ice through the left door. The machine is quite easy to move when necessary, which is not true of every refrigerator I've owned. I enjoy being able to slide it out easily when it is necessary. I have also enjoyed the extra wide glass shelves with the SpillGuard feature. SpillGuard allows most small spills to remain in the shelf and not drip to other shelves. This has actually been fairly true of the two or three moderate sized spills we've had, but like any regrigerator, when that major spill occurs, it is very difficult to clean up. Also, the interior of the appliance has been rather tough to keep clean. Stains seem to set too easily, especially on the inside walls of the machine. Also, the freezer shelves are not set up in a way to create optimal space. I have found it difficult to fit a large variety of freezer items in the freezer without mixing items. It is especially a problem with meat. Overall, you can't beat this Whirlpool item for its price.
