I recently purchased the Bissell QuickSteamer Power Brush 2080 to use in my home for some spring cleaning. I was looking for a machine that was low in price but was quality enough to clean some hot spots for traffic in my home. This is really a budget carpet cleaner that is worth the price paid. The suggested retail price is $95 and can be found at many local department or retail stores. The machine is very lightweight and easy to maneuver, especially when traveling up and down stairs. The machine is not suitable for heavy use or large areas but performs better when cleaning small patches or smaller sized rooms.
Extraction performance seems to be good but the tank is small which can be a disadvantage. The sprayer mechanism is also somewhat of a disadvantage because the spray at times is weak and doesn't put out much water. On occasion, the sprayer quit working and I had to manually wet the area and then suck the water and dirt up with the steamer. The tank is small and needs to be refilled often which can be somewhat annoying when you have more than one area to clean. If you are looking to clean larger areas or those areas that have heavy traffic a larger and more powerful machine would be needed. Deep cleaning should not be performed with this machine because the motor is a little underpowered. It just won't suck up the dirt with the weak motor.
If you want to keep under budget yet want a lightweight carpet cleaning machine this is a great choice. It is easy to use and easy to clean but must be cleaned after every use so that the gunk doesn't get stuck in the mechanisms and prevent it from working the next go round.
