Our family has owned Weber gas grills since the 1990's we have had large and small, basic and the bell and whistle type.
We purchased our Spirit grill from our neighborhood Ace Hardware. It was the end of the season and we got a good deal. The MSRP was around $450 and we were lucky enough to get it for $325.
Our old Weber we have had for almost 8 years. I grill out year around so the bottom of the grill was rusted out. The one thing the old grill had that the new one doesn't is a propane gas gauge. I have trouble figuring out how much propane is in the tank. I pick it up and the tank itself is so heavy I'm not sure how full or empty it is.
Our new grill works wonderfully. The starter button doesn't stick when the weather is cold and the thermometer on the hood makes it easy to tell when the grill is ready. This is the first grill we have had that had an actual storage. It keeps the tank hidden and I can store a cover there if I want to.
Grilling is dirty by nature but, the Weber has removable grates that I can either spray off or put in the dishwasher. With dish soap and water I can sponge any splashes off with a sponge.
