2005 Jeep Liberty

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

The 2005 Jeep Liberty is a reliable four wheel drive SUV. Mine has a diesel engine and is still running great after more than five years of use. It has a an automatic transmission, four cylinder engine, AM/FM CD radio, cruise control and fold down rear seats. Mine came with a towing package which comes in handy when I travel in my RV with the Jeep.

The safety features on the truck include front driver and passenger side airbags. The truck also has anti-lock breaks and a traction control system. If the roads are wet or icy, all drivers need to do is activate the traction control system is to push the button on the top of the steering column. This makes driving in slippery conditions a lot easier.

The SUV can hold up to five people comfortably. It offers full- and part-time four wheel drive, making it a great year-round vehicle. The maneuverability of the truck is better than most other cars I have owned, including other comparable four wheel drive vehicles. The truck gets about 26 miles per gallon, which I consider pretty good for a truck of this size. I am also able to go 6,000 miles between which saves money.

The Jeep has required very little service other than general maintenance until recently. The engine light came on and I needed to take it to the dealership to have a computer chip upgraded. The process took about an hour and cost less than $200. This Jeep has been one of the better vehicles I have owned, out of approximately a half dozen over the course of my life.
