The GE 30-Inch Free-Standing Electric Range/Oven, model JBS55DMWW offers reliable cooking and baking. My oven was made in 2006 and we purchased it that same year. It features a smooth glass ceramic top, a digital clock, an oven light, a cook timer a storage drawer, a control panel on the backsplash that is easy to operate, a digital temperature display and dishwasher safe, removable knobs. The oven features traditional cooking technology.
The range's safety features include an indicator light when the heating element is on, a hot surface light for the cooktop and an auto shut-off switch that can be manually overridden. I love how easy the cooktop is to clean and the smooth ceramic top was one of the main reasons I chose this range. The oven lacks a self-cleaning feature though, which is the one thing I would change about the model. Many GE models offer self-cleaning and this small upgrade would make a big difference.
The oven looks great in our newly remodeled kitchen. It was one of the best bargains among all of our newly purchased kitchen appliances and for the cost, it works great. The oven and range heat up quickly, the temperature is true and I am able to cook and bake with ease. For those looking for a budget-friendly, reliable option, I would recommend this range/oven.
