This espresso machine by Krups has both good and bad points. On the plus side, it has a compact design that easily fits on your kitchen counter. It also has a very nice shape and form that make it quite nice to look at, especially in the silver option. This appliance will sit nicely next to the other machines in your kitchen. It uses steam and is fairly easy to learn to use. One of the nice features is that this particular machine can make not only espresso, but cappuccino and lattes as well. It also has a warming plate to keep your espresso nice and warm while you enjoy the first cup. Since it makes up to four cups, you can also serve a couple friends who drop in. The outside is simple to clean, and the drip tray and filter both come out for cleaning. The on/off switch is lit, which makes remembering to turn it off a breeze.
On the down side, this machine is not programmable and some may find the frothing arm is located poorly for use on larger cups. Many of the parts are plastic and may not be as durable as one would expect for the price. In addition to taste consistency issues, a slight plastic taste has been reported by some consumers. At the end of the day, I would have thought a company like Krups would make a better espresso machine.
