My old iron was a sunbeam and it was OK, the problem with it was I sometimes forgot to turn it off. I was lucky it never started any fires but, I was always getting up in the middle of the night a checking to see if I had turned it off. With my new Black and Decker Iron I don't have to worry about remembering to turn it off anymore. It has an automatic shut off and that shut off is peace of mind. As far as the other features it does what the literature promises to do. No real leaks or drips and it is fairly light weight. It doesn't make ironing a pleasure but, it makes it tolerable.
