Default Review of Turbo Blend 4500 Vita Mix

Turbo Blend 4500 Vita Mix

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

We have been using this blender for 4 years now and it works exactly the same as it did when we first go it. The blades are just as sharp because we can put up to 10 ice cubes in it and they are blended like a slushy within two minutes every time. The kids have even used the product and it hasn't broken with their abuse.

There are several things that set this blender apart from others in its class. Generally with other blenders we have owned you have to slowly add ice to them. We have had both an Oster and a Hamilton Beach blender, both top of the line in their class and they have worn out within one year due to the heavy volume of smoothies we make here. We can honestly put five frozen strawberries, up to ten icecubes, some protein powder and a small amount of liquid and it will make the perfect smoothie.

The other thing the Vitamix can do that most blenders can't is heat things up. You can make homemade soup in it by putting vegetables, meat, whatever you want in it and it will blend and heat at the same time. We've taken already made soup out of can and blended it to make a cream soup and it takes about five minutes.

As far as pricing, the Vitamix is probably one of the most expensive blenders out there. Our model cost $400. The Oster and the Hamilton Beach products we've purchased in the past can cost as little as $39.99. So as a consumer you have to be willing to spend a lot more money to enjoy the reliability and features of this product. To some, it might not be worth spending that much.
