Lasko Space Heater 754200

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

This Lasko model is great for cold weather. It's small, lightweight, and portable ceramic space heater. You can simply lift it up by the carrying handle, set it on the table or in the corner, turn it on, and then get nice and warm. When you decide to use it you can choose from the heater's three different settings depending on your needs. The 1500 watt setting is great for extra cold days. The 900 watt setting is low and simply spreads a comfortable warmth through the room. The third setting circulates the air in the room but will use no heat. The thermostat on this space heater is self regulating and it has an automatic safety feature that will turn the heater off if it overheats.

To keep it functioning properly you must clean it, but this is very simple. You can just wipe the outside of the space heater off with a damp cloth. Once you remove the casing you can just vacuum the heater grills with the bristled attachment on your vacuum.
This Lasko space heater comes with a three year warranty that includes full repair service or replacement of a defective heater at no cost to you. I think the best thing about this heater though is that you can enjoy warm comfort in your home without being constantly reminded that the machine is present by an annoying, obnoxious noise. This heater is a good bit quieter.

As for the price, many people will pay a couple hundred dollars for a space heater and space heaters similar to this one run at about $40 to $50, but this Lasko model only costs about $30 and can be bought on some sites for a few dollars cheaper.
The worst thing that has been said about this heater is that the thermostat is often incorrect. It also uses more power than a radiant heater and is not Energy Star approved. When it comes to a heater, the accuracy of the thermostat is kind of important and in this day and age is all about energy conservation so this Lasko space heater is awarded four stars.
