I have been looking forward to replacing incandescent vanity and candelabra bulbs with LED bulbs for a long time. Besides saving energy; I really liked the idea that they only burn 5W instead of 60W and are thus a lot cooler. I always worried that somebody (my other half) would pile towels too high and lean on one of the old lightbulbs. So I was very happy when I spotted these new bulbs in Lowe's this past week.

I immediately picked up nine bulbs to replace the eight bulbs in our master bathroom mirror. I wanted to have one extra bulb. Out of the nine I purchased four did not work and I was short three. So I returned the four and got six more. Of the six two did not work. But it did give me the one extra bulb that I wanted. The ones that worked were fine and did not burn your hand if you touched them when on. But a 40% failure rate, right out of the box, does not go well for their claim of "Longer Life"!

I am not telling anybody not to buy this product. I am telling you to make sure you buy enough and make sure to save your receipt!
