Please add to the list of activities that'll help one diffuse anger. Keep it legal!

- Shooting range
- Violent video games (esp. arcade ones with shooting)
- Playing heavy metal music LOUD
- (Unfortunately, this one's only available in China and for women only.)

Walking or running
Strength training
Bowling (picture the object of your ire as the headpin)
Golf (see above, substituting ball for headpin)
Weeding the garden (take it out on the weeds)
Cleaning out a closet
Chopping vegetables (be careful!)

Yoga and/or meditation. It doesn't blow off steam in the traditional sense, but it helps you focus your thoughts away from your anger and frustration.

Is there any software Java site where you can upload any picture of your choice and completely trash it virtually on your screen (i.e. spraypaint it, burn it, slash it, mutilate it, crumble it, tear it to pieces, etc) complete with sound effects?

This. Same for what Ohiogirl said. Get rid of the tension: work hard, sweat, take a hot shower, get a massage.

Get in your car. Drive someplace deserted. Park. Scream. Cuss out everybody who is causing you problems. Compose yourself. Drive home. Repeat as necessary.

(Told to me by a V.A. therapist.)
