What do YOU do to help you stay focused everyday (i.e. during work, doing routine tasks, etc.)? It can be both little things that help you stay focused (like making lists) or eating foods or exercising in ways that boosts one's brain. Keep it legal and cheap (i.e. no illegal or expensive drugs plz.) Please share your advice. Thanks.
wow! No one has any advice. It depends to what degree you are ADD. It's hard to stay focused on things we're not really interested in. Yes making lists helps or setting a reminder on my phone. I have a general lack of energy...I'm OK at work but never have any at home. There are essential oil blends you can make or buy to try to help....it's worth a shot but probably won't work for real bad ADD people.
when I'm doing a certain chore (cutting wood, mowing grass) that I hate...I just kinda veg out....my mind goes elsewhere to better and funner things...I think of the "reward" I'll allow myself when I'm all done....relaxing...maybe a brew....feet up.....I generally plan a course of action to get everything done that I want that day...sometimes even to the route that I'll take...
definitely coffee. Also, reminders on my phone. And staying committed to the appointment, no matter how small. I have read eating almonds & walnuts helps boost memory. I also like taking some time off during the day to watch something funny on youtube or clips from funny shows. That way I dont wander off on the web when working. Heard about memory boasting games but never tried them.
