You don't really believe that do you? Most of them I know are in the 5' 9" to 6' range. Sam Walton wasn't any 6' 2" plus, neither was Henry Ford. Paul Sr. from Orange County Choppers is 6'. I think it's a lame attempt at shaming 6' 2" and below men myself. That dog don't in this here brush pile.

If a person is only attracted to good looking people as mates because they themselves are good looking, that MIGHT be considered shallow to a degree, but it's their right and certainly not criminal.
On the other hand, if somebody is only attracted to good looking people as friends, whether or not they are good looking themselves, then that says a lot about that person's character, or lack thereof...

Ok, two come to mind, though there are more:
1) Grad school: Jewish girl, about 25 or 26, who looked like Giada DeLaurentiis hung around with a very dumpy Jewish girl from Long Island.
2) Working life: one guy who was half-Anglo and half-Portuguese, who all the girls chased after, right around 40, had a best friend that people referred to as Fred Flintstone.
Most everyone who knew them made this comment. The Jewish girl was very shallow, if I recall, and the Anglo-Port guy was very insecure, despite his trying to project otherwise. His FB is a photo "shrine" to himself.
Why does this need to be challenged? It happens. It's not inconceivable.

Why do you think it's being challenged? I imagine it happens. I've just never known such people or made such a connection to anyone I might now. I'm looking to see where these kinds of freaks hang, where they hail from, to better understand why my realty, and the people in it, is strikingly different.

It is typically someone with low self-esteem. They purposely pick less attractive friends to feel better about themselves.

That's real low. They are NOT freaks in the least. The Jewish girl was from a rich suburb of a major city, came from professional parents, and was just lazy. She had a rock on her finger and didn't pull on the academic throttle too hard. The guy is in insurance, studied business, but was put on a pedestal by elderly parents. I always had friends that spanned a few nationalities, but were otherwise fairly similar. Come to think of it, I don't think you'd like them.
