Usually the funeral refers to the ceremony and rites and rituals (eg. eulogy, procession) that happens before the disposal of the body in whatever way (cremation, burial etc.).

I'm guessing if you said you wanted to be buried or cremated, but with "no funeral", it'd imply you'd just want your body disposed of in the manner you chose but nothing else special in celebration/ceremony aside from that (what's done to the body).

I would any of my remaining family members and maybe some of my cousins and close friends would attend, but really, it's not something I worry about. When you're dead, you're dead right? I mean it's a nice thought to know people love you, but I'd rather people try to celebrate my life in some way -even if it's just one or two close to me, that is if there's anything worth celebrating.
Nope. Not even worth thinking about.

what is more disturbing than nobody showing us, is when u give generously to your offspring and generously provide for your funeral and they scatter the ashes and pocket the difference.

Difference in what? My son already has instructions on where to scatter mine.

I've told my family to burn me up and chuck the ashes in the lovely river near where we live. Simple. But they won't - they will have lots of hymns and tears.....in a church.....and as I go to church every week and have a big family I expect there to be a full house!!!!! Fiuneral for me should be a celebration of a life lived to the fullest possible, with Love with joy....with faith.....I thank God for my time, every day that I breathe.......I have a saying in my kitchen.......Don't count the days, make the days count.
Amen.

No. I will be dead so I won't know if they are there.

OK - I'll admit - I would be very curious to see who would come and what people would say. Would people miss me? Would people care? I am married but don't have a lot of family so I'd be interested to see who showed up. Yes I'm one of those people who care what others think. I'd love to be "watching" from the sidelines.

Then I would know who to come back and haunt

I have never thought of that before. No. I don't care-I won't be there.
