Like Trimac said, they smoke it to "feel normal" because they become dependent on it.

I smoke to remove EGO and PRIDE.

When I smoke, I don't care if you win! And that attitude is much welcome in America today... But I'm dreamin'.. ehehe

This is actually a really good point.

It definitely breaks down the walls of the psyche.

Why thank you.

Yeah, we need to break down "walls", lots of them apparently.

I thought we were all done when The HOFF sang on top the Berlin wall but, apparently not.

I don't agree. Being addicted to marijuana holds people back. And what you described sounds like something a person addicted to pot does. It may be mild, but it still holds people back, especially kids who need to grow up.

Cocaine does the opposite.

Look what it did to Tony 'say hello to my little friend!' Montana!

I think someone should look into the psychology of the uptight people who don't smoke.

Post-menopausal women should be able to get a Rx for it for increased libido, sort of a female viagra.

Everyone has a different body chemistry, some people have the same mental issues, but different chemesty. My husband has anxiety and PTSD, along with other mental issues.
He has been prescribed all kinds of medications. All but a few help. Usually the drugs that are supposed to be calming, make him angry. Drugs that are to focus him only leave him feeling lost.
For him marijuana is the only thing that helps him. He can be 'high' and no one would even know it because he is acting normal.

There are those that can or can't be exposed to certain things, be it food, something worn (metals or wool), environments...
To say it is wrong or right can't be done. It's totally a case by case basis.
If use helps someone, there is no harm.
If the use is not helpful, then likely they have pre-existing issues or thier body rejects it.

I have known all kinds of pot smokers. Most are pretty together people. No one has a perfect life, but they are functional, responsible and happy.
