Hi, I know this gets brought up a lot, but something I notice about 'how many friends' you got is that, most of the people who seem to have about 200.. are like the coolest ones ;P

100.. is like myself, struggling, but fairly confident, normal.. but just struggling..

300-450ish, those are the good ones. I mean, out at restaurants, takin pics with their girlfriends.. every pic is a smiling pic, for sure.

Above 450.. those kinda not so great but over-compensates with personality and begins in the more mainstream pop oriented world...

Above 1000 internet celeb..

Above 20,000 an actual star, with talent.

56, the bored housewife who finally got on lastyear.

30, the people who either are in or still in 'high school' personal struggles.

15.. the murderer rapist who thought he was so cool in 1988.

7.. the person just making it to add comments to some blog.

2.. It's just you, and you, and you are sad, and very very depressed.

0.. You can be any of those, I don't know?! But that's great... keep it up.

Do any of you fit this?? Or am I way off??

Where do you guys fit on this??

I have about a 100 fb friends, and I actually think it's too much. I talk to maybe only 15 of them regularly.

Really, the number you have ultimately means nothing, unless it's over 500. When you're at that number and over (and you're an every day, "normal" person), it's obvious that you're adding anyone who added you first and don't really care about your privacy.

Nothing...I've forgotten how many I've had. I think 400 when I last checked. Yeah I pretty much add most people unless they seem suspicious. Privacy? I've nothing really to hide I put on their anyway.

The more facebook friends the less of a life a person has, they spend all their time online trying to get people they have met to be their friends instead of out doing things with real friends.

I have about 160ish real friends on FB. Some I haven't spoken or "chatted" with for quite some time (1 year maybe). As time goes on, facebook makes it easy to keep up with people who I might potentially lose contact with due to jobs, family, life changes, etc.

Default Nothing

It means absolutely nothing.

Facebook is the ultimate medium for a life defined by superficiality.

Oh I think it means something, just not anything all that positive. I have written in my profile that I'm NOT a "friend collector." I only have friends whom I actually like, or talk to fairly regularly. If someone is a friend and I never talk to them or care what's going in their life they are unfriended. I hate having people on there that I'm thinking who is this person and why do I care that they just went to the mall??

I figure people use FB for different things. I don't think it means anything besides that.
