Do men ever 'go gay' out of desperation? (attracted, complex, parent)

I know and agree that most people are born mostly gay or straight, but, especially for those in between, do you know of any cases where a man who was straight - or mostly straight, was so frustrated with his lack of success with women that he actually sought a RELATIONSHIP, not just sex, with another bloke? Or what about cases where he got fed up with the female gender and decided to bat for his own team? I mean it seems to happen with women sometimes...moreso when they get sick of men.
They say male sexuality is less fluid, and it may be, but I'm actually pretty sure this happens sometimes. I think it's still more fluid than we think and society has conditioned us into the rigid categories of straight, gay and even bi.
I'm not planning this myself, but I could understand someone who did. I just thought it'd be interesting to hear real life scenarios. I'm not taking closet gays or anything like that, just to be clear.
I would guess that the biggest way to turn a man into an angry womanhater (NOT A HOMOSEXUAL) is for a very large number of women to reject him, ignore him, use/abuse/misuse him because of superficial reasons such as looks or height. Hurt a man long enough, its inevitable he will learn to hate the source of his pain.
No. But many so-called lesbians and gays are more repulsed by opposite sex than they are "attracted" with other sex. If that weren't true, you wouldn't have gays who live together but never had sex together, and lesbians living together and not having sex either.
Quite surprising, when you think of porns where women "turn" into lesbians because they are so hot and demanding that they hit on everything... or when you hear about promiscuous gays who have sex multiple times a day.
That being said, there is a major lie about so-called "naturality" of gays (or even heterosexuals, if you will), which is supposedly encoded in someone's genes. Major bogus theory is that if a child even doubts of being gay - that's the proof that the teenage boy/girl is oppressed by their parents if they attempt to convince them the otherwise. In fact, you'll see a subtle pressure towards children to "come out" with their sexuality at the teenage years, which is absurd and a proof of manipulations that certain people do.
Homosexuality and heterosexuality was proven to be the consequences of pure instinct of species for reproduction, and without proper knowledge about their sexuality the species hit on both male and female species with inner attempts to reproduce. Such studies on animals are bashed as unreliable but Russians have proven their point - sexual preference is rather learned and there are some guidelines (home, society, instinct comes way later).
Some even hit on different species to satisfy that inner LUST, a drive for procreation that results with their pleasure. Nobody dares to say it's a genetic trait to be attracted for animals though.
There are various reasons for someone to turn homosexual:
1. Maybe they are indeed feeling like a man/woman in the body of the opposite sex.
2. Maybe they are simply attracted to the same sex.
The latter on can have various reasons:
- repulsiveness towards opposite sex
- attraction towards same sex
- superiority complex based on their own sex, causing both of the above occurring as a consequence.
The later group (superiority complex) is definitely the one that is increasing, while other groups are simply re-emerging from once banned realm.
Turning homosexual out of desperation is really really rare and nobody would even admit it anyways. There are some cases where people in jail turn into "homosexuals" - but it's rather a power-thing, to RAPE someone and screw their mind by constant forced sex/fear, than it is out of desperation. Another proof that sexual preference is vastly the result of outside events than it is due to predispositions OR genetics.
REALLY IMPORTANT:
One again, both homosexuality and heterosexuality are consequences of outside events that shape one's sexuality and heterosexuality is the norm throughout the human history because homosexuals won't reproduce, thus it tips the scale in whole society.
One's sexuality can also be suppressed to the point where an individual becomes asexual towards others, or completely prefers to do it with themselves (masturbation). Mind is a very powerful organ, and prone to "learn" many things that you throw at it.
I have read that in the Middle East, where dowry demands and legal polygamy mean many men are without wives, it is common for men to have (forbidden) romantic relationships with each other or younger men/boys. I don't know if that is true.
I also suspect that nald is citing studies from Focus on the Family, or cherrypicking rather busily. I also have never heard of parents shoving their kids out of the closet when the kids aren't actually gay - unless the parents have some sort of mental disorder. (My one friend's MIL continually accused her other son of being gay as she slid into dementia. It was weird.)
