My employer wants me to do some NLP training through Business NLP Acadmey---http://www.businessnlpacademy.co.uk/

Do you think NLP training helps in the workplace?

What skills does he want you to acquire? You don't need NLP for some of those skills, like public speaking. There are free organizations, like Toastmasters, that you can join to build public speaking skills. Do you know what NLP is? It's a type of hypnosis. I don't think I'd want someone messing with my subconscious mind, when I could learn skills another way.

But maybe that's just me.

Ruth, I don't think it's just you.

George, you might want to get with your employer and suggest that they utilize techniques that are more current, less intimidating and fairly effective. Like "Motivational Interviewing" for one.
