Within one week, I have had two different friends have their cell phones stop working. Both are texting and Facebook "addicts".
One person dropped the cell phone into water and it stopped working. The other entered the wrong secret code too many times and it permanently locked up.
Both people suddenly had their entire lives "switched off"!
Based on observing these two people (and others), I think I have discovered a new mental condition, which perhaps should be called, "Cell Phone Panic Syndrome".
This syndrome presents itself, when a cell phone suddenly stops working or locks up, preventing its owner from texting or reaching Facebook.
Symptoms include...
-A state of violent mental agitation, wild excitement, and hyperactivity.
-Increased pulse.
-Rapid breathing.
-Anxiety.
-Sleeplessness.
-And endless attempts to enter the secret code into the phone and remove/replace the battery.
