Quite possibly in the top five of ridiculous posts I've ever read on City-Data.
I agree with this 100%. I would rate it there as well. Thought I would end my comments on a note of agreement.

find intelligent, deep women.
They do exist, lol.......
Thank you.

OP, I would get pissed off but - being a deep, intelligent and analytical woman - find myself incapable of justifying any anger. Rational thought is a fine thing.

One time I was sitting in my grand am parked at a restaurant when I was living in eastern WI and some overweight middle aged self important woman with this holier then thou glare on her face proceeded to aggressively open her car door and slam it into the side of mine and not even give it a second thought as she didn't even make eye contact or acknowledge it at all. No damage was done but yes, these people do exist.. self important types with no courtesy who think only about themselves.

I've noticed young people of all ages have it more, and it tends to linger in women into middle age, guys grow out of it early on, probably just from hanging out with other guys and having their asses beat if they behave that way... the "I can do whatever I want, *********" mentality.

So why are women drivers, soccer moms, more likely to have this self important, ********* sort of behavior while men are more likely to be courteous towards others?

One more thing a local talk show radio host posted out... men are more likely to admit and laugh at their personality flaws, such as never wanting to stop to ask another man for directions for example... when you point out flaws about women they all get super offended and start ranting like it's the end of the world... it's much harder for them to take a joke and/or admit their faults when they have them. We all know this is true so I'm not even going to argue about people who reply whether it is or not.. if you are a woman who can admit your faults good for you.

Generally speaking why are women like this?

This tends to be portrayed on TV by the beta male husband who caves to his wife's demands and never calls her out on her BS when she starts spouting it. Needless to say this is not how I am.
I have run into rude people (and nice people) of both sexes. Maybe I am not going out of my way looking for fault with either gender. We are probably predisposed to be more socially comfortable with our own gender, but certainly owe respect and courtesy to any person, regardless of gender.

BTW, if anyone intentionally rammed their door into mine they would have gotten an earful unless they apologized immediately.

Rushed over here from another conversation to see what this was all about. The quote expresses my sentiments exactly.

No matter how many times you type "haha" it does not constitute a rational argument against the OP's thesis. Are you saying you are incapable of rebutting it?

If you want to see self-important, see the male of the species. How many guys blather endlessly about their jobs, the important contributions (however minor) they made in the workplace, all the people they "advised" (i.e. gave unsolicited, pompous advice to), etc. etc. Women are nurturers and are raised to be thoughtful and courteous (to a fault).

Exactly. These PEOPLE do exist. Male and female. I rarely see self-important women, though.

The poster is saying that the OP's premiss is so far from reality it causes hysterical laughter.

They can't do that if the guy is monopolizing the conversation, and the woman can hardly get a word in edgewise. Where there's potential romantic interest, it's normal for people to be curious about each other, and to want to get to know each other better. The way this normally works in conversation is that they ask questions of each other, though each is certainly welcome to chime in and share info. But women don't normally just begin to expound on their lives, work, philosophy and interests like a professor delivering a lecture. Many men, for some reason, do. It's kind of rude, and makes conversation difficult. Conversation, by definition, is a give-and-take. Without that, it's a monologue.

Women are not biologically wired to be philosophers. How many female philosophers can you think of? Woman's purpose is primarily to love their husband and children and to nurture and take care of them. That should make them the happiest. Now that western and American "culture" has it all screwed up with the advent of feminism and neoliberalism they are not sure. Their natural instinct and purpose is being brainwashed out of them through the media via television mostly and some books. American woman are losing their way and their natural ability to take care of their "loved" ones. Many "modern" woman put their love of money and material possessions before the love of their family.

Men are partially responsible for letting this happen. One of the more famous female philosophers would be Ayn Rand, from Russia. Maybe more women will try to become philosophers, but objective truth does not usually equate to happiness. Women should try to find what makes them happy and that should be love.
