Default Why aren't most men as deep as women?

As in psychologically deep.

For my .02 on this, which I think is true, here is a copy of my response on the brother thread "Why are men deeper than women:

"First off, it must be admitted that men and women are indeed different.
Very different.
Men are more visual, i.e. they are affected or aroused by graphic images and perform better in spacially oriented IQ tests.
Women typically perform better in language arts and use 'softer' modes of thinking, relying more on visceral clues, smells and sounds.
These differences, coupled with the physical burden/impairment that pregnancy and childbirth impart to the female, inform and support two very distict biological reproductive strategies; to wit, the male seeks to impregnate and spread his seed as far, wide, and often as possible. The female must necessarily nurture to maturity the far fewer offspring that she can produce. Women typically stay close to home with a strong instinct to nest with a stable mate for SECURITY of her children.
I believe it is the extraordinary specificity that developed to secure the survival of the species that resulted in differences in biology and bio-chemistry which we see today.
And they have had innunerable collateral effects, some of which we are hardly aware.
For example, tho most geniuses are male, so are most idiots!
And I will state without shame that sexism is NOT the main reason there are few great women mathemeticians.
Of course this is not absolute as Marie Curie, Rachel Carson ..and come to think of it, me (IT/Logician), clearly show.
But we are the exceptions that unfortunately prove the rule.

And though biology may not be destiny, I think it's a damn close second to whatever is in first place."

Well, first of all it isn't their fault.
They have this ' thing' connected to their
brains and it weighs too much and drains their brains.

I knew it was an attempt at humor, but it failed my ha-ha test, so i responded anyway.
Women are deeper emotionally and connect in less self-absorbed ways when they love another.
Men can get quite obsessed and call it love.
Except for mating, we are like two different species.

Generally, true. Women are basically driven to get security for themselves and their (future) offspring. Men are basically driven to get sex. In terms of psychological complexity, women are playing a long-term game, while men are playing a short-term one. Women tend to spend much more time thinking about, and working on, personal one-on-one relationships--this is their instinctive imperative. Men work on individual relationships as much as they NEED to, to achieve their goals. The lack of complexity in men's relationships does benefit groups of men working together, while women do less well in larger cooperative groups (interpersonal skills are less effective in larger groups).

Some men are very emotionally sensitive, but few men understand the more complex psychology of women (though they generally understand the simplistic psychology of other men). Women tend to understand other women extremely well, and men very well--up the point the quirks related to male sexual psychology appear. Once women see a situation occur (say a male who cheats for the first time), the woman will end up understanding the psychology. Men tend not to understand the psychology of women until it has been clearly explained to them, and often not even then.

One thing women have a hard time grasping is how seemingly intelligent and even emotionally sensitive men can do things that are utterly irresponsible and destructive, simply because of their overwhelming sex drive. It is shocking for women to realize that men lose all ability to control themselves when they are aroused--and this lack of control can last for weeks at a time or longer. In general, women understand other women pretty well by the time they hit high school--and there won't be many surprises after that. On the other hand, women understand men pretty well by the mid-20s, but will always be at risk of not predicting some (illogical) male behavior until they actually encounter it.

Well, it should have failed your test because it wasn't an attempt at humor.
