What type of people/relationship is this? (introvert, men, girlfriend)

I wasn't sure if this belonged in psychology or relationships...but I chose here because I am more interested in the psychology behind these people's behaviors and actions than I am interested in the actual relationship.
I want to describe two types of people who are in a relationship with each other and then see what your thoughts are. Like diagnose these people if need be or provide some insight into why they would possibly be attracted to each other. To me it seems like a push/pull type relationship and it seems like it would never work. Your thoughts?

One partner:
Very bright and motivated- good career
can be self-absorbed
Aloof
can be withdrawn
Cold
Controlling
Uses silent treatment at times, can shut down
Introverted; loner
Low sex-drive

The other partner:
Needy
Never thinks they are good enough
Classic under-achiever
Always wanting more out of the other partner
victim mentality
Very negative
attention/affection seeking
Very social, people person
Extroverted; life of the party
High sex-drive

Sounds like "she" is going to wear the pants in the family! There are many relationships like that which last a very long time.

And as they say... "Opposites attract!"

Man...was it that obvious that the first partner was female??? lol....

I was thinking that maybe there were personality disorders or codependency or something else at work with these two individuals. But if you think it's just a simple case of opposites attract, all the better!

I'm older and have been around the block a few times, but...

The key is "Low sex-drive" and "High sex-drive". Many men are the latter.

Also "Uses silent treatment at times". Anyone who has ever ticked off a wife/girlfriend knows ALL about that!

(The worst is if you come home, she gives you the silent treatment, then you ask what is wrong... She says "You know what you did!" Now this poses a problem for the man. He probably has done several things wrong, but does not know which one she found out about! )

You're right! I forgot that the sex-drive thing was probably a give away! ha...

And..on doing several things wrong...OMG I didn't look at it THAT way! Scary thought!
