It seems as though society doesn't shame men who say that "they need a woman" but women who say "I need a man" seem to get ridiculed and look down on for saying that. Is it really wrong for a female to yearn for the male gender? Why does society keep putting pressure on women to hate the male gender?
In today's society it is taboo for anyone to say much of anything that is not going to offend someone, somewhere.
Where do you get this crap? I have no clue what you're talking about. Do you? I have my doubts.
If women in your world hate men, you're doing something wrong. I'm glad I don't live in your world.
The world I live in is the United States.
I never said women in general hate men, I said why does society put pressure on women to hate men? That's the difference.

Youre absolutely right...Ive noticed this too..in another thread I notice people chastised men who decided marriage wasnt for them, yet when you hear women say they dont need a man or marriage to be happy, they are heralded with "you go girl"s and its deemed progressive and liberated...our entire society has become about providing several options for women's lifestyles and making sure they have the resources available to exercise those options...and men have just become another resource..., and the more we empower women to be liberated, the more this society actually demands that men cling to their more traditional gender roles, for the sole purpose of preserving the option of a traditional relationship/courtship and protection for women who exercise those options. This is done under the auspices of "removing" gender roles altogether, yet it actually only removes women's traditional gender role and sternly reinforces heterosexual men's traditional gender roles, in order to make sure women still even have the option of traditional marriage when they feel like taking a break from the radical feminist spiel.

Women don't need men. In fact, we are lucky and should feel honored if they give us the time of day. Don't you know that?
The difference is that women get bash for simply wanting a man while males get bashed for not already having a woman. Do you see my point?
No I don't. If I said "I wanted a woman", then I'd basically be screwed over in the dating world.
As it is, my cultural expectations put me at a huge shortage. Ok, sun is setting. I've gotta take a shower and do my evening prayers. Catch you later .
