This is something that has been bothering me for years. Why aren't female pedophiles viewed as negatively as male pedophiles in our society? Their are so many cases of female teachers sleeping with underage male students and yet most people don't seem to get upset but when an adult male sleeps with an underage female "all hell breaks loose" and people are ready to crucify him. If Jerry Sandusky was a female, I highly doubt people would've cared as much. Why do we have this double standard in our society?

That's not pedophilia. Pedophilia is when a mom molests her little kids. You don't hear about it because it rarely comes to light, since moms are the primary caregivers.

Witness the different treatment given to Stephen Collins and Lena Dunham even though both are predators. Collins is unemployable in Hollywood while Dunham still has her show.
No, it doesn't. There's nothing cool about a mom or older sister or aunt molesting a little girl.
Female molesters of girls should be sent to prison and treated like male molesters, but our society does have a certain fetish for lesbian sex to the point that it is willing to give women who prey on little girls a pass. Child sexual predation by women against girls has apologists who would never defend men preying on girls.

"The Vagina Monologues" having a section about a twentysomething woman who seduces a 13 year old girl in order to introduce her to the glories of lesbianism and to ensure she never is oriented towards men, and the girl in the play enjoys every bit of it. Do you think for a second that such a work glorifying a male would be tolerated? It would rightfully be universally condemned.
Because a lot of the males are willing participants if they are in their adolescent years (ie, ~12-17). It is not until later that they realize they were victimized and some never realize it.

Not only a fetish for lesbianism but i think even more a paranoia and hatred towards male homosexuals.
