Anyone else here working on becoming more self-reliant and being your own advocate? I'm currently a travel RN but I'm looking to purchase a home and to work on doing as much as I can on my own. Right now, when I'm not on the road, I live with my mom and at 24, that gets to me. I'm not a kid anymore and I make pretty good money so if I want to experience the freedom to go and do and be who I want to be, then distance is necessary. I'm more accepting and adventurous than my family is as well so it's really important for me to have my own space.

Anyone else going through a similar situation or has been through it and how did it pan out for you? Did you change a lot as a result of being on your own and being more self-reliant?
