No little excuse me or anything. Like you were at home alone. In 2-3 minutes I heard five burps, so I decided to wrap up and leave.
Mating call, maybe?

Yeah that's a pretty big FWP stress factor for me, too. I am at times a wonderful gift giver. I love giving the perfect gift. But I have people in my life now who are just plain harder to shop for. My boyfriend is a collector of many things, but when he wants something he usually just buys it for himself, and he's already got so much that it's really difficult to work out what might be pleasing to him. I should make art for him, truly, but finding the time and motivational energy to do so is just...*sigh*... And then there are my sons. They only want expensive techy things. I know what I could give them that would make them happy, but I've no idea how to come up with the money to afford to do so. And the best sales are like...day after tomorrow? So.

On top of that, I keep seeing oodles of stuff that I want, for me, but I just CAN'T justify buying myself things, and the notion of giving my partner a wish list to buy from is so...it feels demanding. And icky. Even though I would kill for a wish list from him! I need to just discuss this with him, see what he thinks.

Consumerism makes me crazy.
