It increasingly looks like pedophilia has a genetic predisposition. So how should society, and the government, handle this sexual orientation?
If it does originate from genetic predisposition then it would naturally be weeding itself out as reproduction is not possible with a pre-puberty human.
The game-changer here is that pedophiles will try to conform to social expectations such as "get married & have 2.5 kids".
Maybe it's not so much "conforming" as it is providing themselves a "cover"; as a married man with children will gain more access to children...a "wolf in a sheep's skin" so to speak.
Are you implying that it be included in genetic screening? If so; tread lightly...

Maybe to the learned shrinks who deal with this type of perversion, and are trying to understand it.
Sounds like just another excuse for someone who's feeling guilty about why they've hurt a little one.
They can ask for forgiveness and blame it on a genetic predisposition.
Every easily aroused young man that can't seem to get a girlfriend or willing partner, does not become a rapist or even a predator.
He has learned, one way or another, to keep his urges and desires under control.
You may or may not agree with the analogy but I have little doubt there are a good percentage of those drawn to children that are also maintaining the same control.
There have been incidences publicized about arrests being made when the 'child porn' did not even contain images of real children but drawings or the like.

The analogy isn't that great...a young man CAN find a willing partner, and if not immediately, he can buy one just to slate his "urges and desires" until he does...if he's so inclined

Intensive therapy for those who admit their pedophilia without acting on it.
But once they do act on it, should be game over. Death penalty.
do you really think "intensive therapy" is going to change them?...and who admits their pedophilia urges?, unless they've already been convicted first...and then sentenced to take said therapy.
