TIRES, TIRES, TIRES! Like my mouth waters when I walk into a tire shop. I don't want to EAT them, but I take a HUGE breath.

Also, love new car smell and freshly opened tennis balls. I never noticed gasoline doesn't smell the same until someone mentioned it. I used to love the smell as a kid, I haven't even thought about it as an adult.

Some of them are unusual, others probably fairly normal:

Fresh plastic
Ozone
gasoline
petrichor
books
freshly cut wood
lilacs
vanilla
diesel exhaust
burning leaves
pine needles
Elmer's glue
pipe tobacco
cinnamon
open ocean
kiwi fruit
olives

I'm with you on this one! In fact I love all smells that involve horses ( equines in general). Even that walk into the barn to saddle up your horse..the saddle that has a mixture of leather and horse sweat! Their scent brings back so many positive memories..I often smell it in my dreams it seems.

Guess my 10 years around horses put a pretty strong "Footprint" in my brain, eh?

That reminds me of something my husband said to me when we were dating: "Your skin is as soft as... a horse's nose." I was so offended, but he insisted that it was a real compliment.

New tires are one of my favorite unusual smells. Not sure why as they don't have any special association with me, but I do like it.

Living in the desert, the air has a certain smell to it after it rains. Creosote bushes create this "earthy" smell and it's quite wonderful after a warm rain. Ahhhhhh.

Candles made with 100% beeswax. The old fashioned kind with no scent added, just beeswax.

Love the smell of coffee beans or ground coffee but I don't drink it. Can't stand the taste.

Silly putty.

The aroma of horse. If they put that in a man's cologne, any man wearing it would be overwhelmed with female attention.

I also love patchouli. And Tabu (which contains it). I learned early on wearing it back when I was a teenager that men loved it, absolutely loved it, and women (except those who wore it) couldn't stand it.

The most unusual one of mine.

Cow Manure on a Diary Farm (from a moderate distance).

I'm one of the only ones I know that really likes that smell, lol.
