Activity v. Apathy.

It kind of comes off like you just want to complain, versus do something.

You're right; you can't help everyone. But you can still make a difference, and there are other people like you, so if we all do our part, then the cumulative result will be huge. And even though you can't save the world, changing just one person's life for the better is still a big deal.

Again, since you are a young college student, imo your main goal for now ought to be acquiring knowledge/skills (although it's fine to do other things on the side, and volunteering is great too). Knowledge is power, and with more power, you will be in a better position to help others. For example, as a pre-med, I am not yet able to save lives the way doctors are, but through years of studying and training, hopefully one day I will be. I'm not sure what your interests/passions are, but I'm sure you could use them for good too, if you become sufficiently skilled at them.

Please don't torture yourself by constantly watching depressing videos; it's not healthy and won't help anyone. Go out, take a walk, or do something productive.

Activity v apathy is a false dichotomy. Dmc is apparently inactive but obviously not apathetic. Let him complain if he wants...the human condition justifies a lifetime of incessant complaining from each and every one of us.
