Here is an amazing artist named Liza Lou. Her work, like Chihuli's, is very accessible to anyone, and Is fun to look at. Every square inch is covered with tiny glass beads. I've also seen a piece of her's which is an entire beaded airstream trailer.
At 67, I just decided, not too late, to take up Art myself, and have bought stacks of Art Books, and How to Draw Art Books, lost of art supplies, and I've been experimenting with pencil drawings so far.
For some reason, I get terribly bored trying to do a real life landscape drawing or a real life human being, because I know when it comes to a human being, we're all multi-dimensional, and now I've veered off into Expressionistic drawings, and now I'm really having some fun! And lots of laughs!
That's great! I have a friend in her late 50's, who just took up painting. She is so enjoying exploring that side of herself.
