I'm 6'3" - thank God all men don't feel like you do.
I was a very late grower. At 16yo I was 5'3" (& yes, I had a small man chip on my shoulder)
By 18yo I'd hit 6'. My then girlfriend was 5'11' & said that I was the first boyfriend who was taller than her.
Tall girls would often comment to my GF how lucky she was that she had a tall boyfriend. They resented seeing really short girls with tall guys.
I never forgot those comments & noticed over the years that when a tiny girl showed interest, I always wondered if it was because they liked me for me, or if they were just looking for a tall guy.
An interesting comment from one girl made me wonder if they were all planning ahead. She said that although she adored her dad, she didn't want her sons to be 'short-*****' like him.

Fatallyflaccid
Your comments lead me to ask, what would you prefer, a tall super-model type who's ugly on the inside, or a plain short girl who's beautiful on the inside?
Although I'm not a Jack Black fan, I related to the movie Shallow Hal in the sense that superficially good looking girls who are dead-set b*****, start to look really unattractive to me after a while. It's as if the ugly from the inside starts to show through.
Plain girls who are really sweet, look more attractive the better I know them.
There's an old saying that holds some truth; 'By the time you're 40yo, you have the face you deserve'.
I've seen this for myself. The nasty girls born with good looks aint so good looking as they age.
Many plain girls that I knew in my youth, who were really sweet, get better looking as they get older.
Keep focusing on the superficial & you'll end up with the girl that you deserve. That's when you'll learn that looks aren't that important. Lifes like that.

Some people are more sensitive than others, needless to say.

Really? And you have hard data on that? I think your own taste is probably not universal. You have a right to think that for yourself, but my experience is different and belies your generalization.
It's not a hard data thing, more anecdotal. Also, I very rarely see couples in public where the man is shorter. Bottom line...most guys simply are not comfortable going out with a woman who is taller than they are. It's one of those human nature things.

I'm shocked by that Alaska guy who insists most men will not see women who are taller than they are. That hurt my feelings. Maybe it is true with certain segments of the male population (the ones he's encountered) but it is not true among the professional and educated classes, which is the male segment of the dating pool I've encountered.
Most men are shorter than me.
I'm 6' 2 1/2" so you pip me by 1/2 an inch, lol.
One thing I've learnt is that it really doesn't matter what others think, especially not strangers on the internet.
I'm very fair & blond. Not all girls are attracted to my 'type' & I'm okay with that. Some are, some aren't & some don't care that I'd stick out on a moonless night in a bog.
Not all guys are attracted to tall girls (I suspect that some guys are actually intimidated by tall girls) Many are. Don't worry about the ones who aren't. I bet you've received plenty of attention from guys who are attracted to your height.
There are all kinds of short/wimpy men that have been able to attract tall women - I am sure there must be a web site that focuses on specific fetishes, such as this.

I'm sorry; fetish?
a form of sexual desire in which gratification is linked to an abnormal degree to a particular object, item of clothing, part of the body, etc.:
"Victorian men developed fetishes focusing on feet, shoes, and boots"
synonyms: fixation · obsession · compulsion · mania · weakness · fancy · fascination · fad · thing · hang-up
. . It's difficult not to see this thread devolving into unacknowledged and unexamined fear and hatred of women.

Nobody here fears you or hates you because you are a woman or because you are 6' 3". Almost universally, men who have a female partner have one that is shorter than they are. That's just the way it is. Just because these hundreds of millions of men have a shorter partner doesn't mean they fear or hate women. You are reading way too much into this.
Not at all! Everyone has a type. There are tall women out there who prefer shorter men.
