Well, you're right. It hurts my ears, though, especially using it repeatedly.

My paternal grandmother was from Appalachia and her speech patterns were filled with things like this, old English versions of words.

I saw that but won't let that bother me. Not looking for perfection. Like the 18 nudges.

We have a female radio personality and each Saturday night she ends her program with this mantra, I like it.

Love Hard
Forgive Harder
Get As Happy As You Can As Fast As You Can

Girl...you need to travel more often. It's common and accepted outside of the United States. And try to focus more on the positive message.

Opinions are worthless, opinion is the voice of the ego. Take any unsolicited personal opinion of another person and examine it.
What is invariably found is its based in fear or anger. Its just a form of judging.

These make TOO MUCH sense to me.

Here's to 2018!!!!!!!
Its alright, but pop spirituality quoting tony robbins who fixates on financial gain as a path to serenity is pure bunk.

A person's worldview is what directs their course through life, the results are inversely proportional to the discipline they keep to that worldview.

Jonesg: Sounds like a lot of anger coming out. Are you saying, keep one's mouth taped shut?

That's one way.
It might prevent "spitting the bit".

#10 - "“you’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”"
I have been thinking about this long and hard for while. I read this before and I stopped to think who are these 5 people and do I like them. Since I turned 30, I have been evaluating and reevaluating my friends circle. My early 20's friend circle has shrunk as expected but I still live close to many of my friends. we still meet in large gathers but I don't meet one on one with many anymore. I have not figured it out

There is a friend who bring out the worst in me. I didn't realize it until I started evaluating. I realize I become aggressive/defensive around her and after our gathering I am always more stressed & all the negative content of my own life swims around me. She doesn't do anything special to wind me up but something happens around her. she was always a little bit of a bully & has a harsh personality even when we were good friends but last few years with our life drifting apart interaction been awkward

There are 2 friends who don't have their life together, worst than normal people. But, tbh, at this point I feel like their therapist more than a friend. Lot of people told me to cut them off but I haven't because 1) I love advising people, I do feel valued and 2) I am hopeful my advise/presence is helping them. Sometimes they can get annoying complaining about same ol little thing, then I have to ignore their calls for while but other time I miss listening to them. My husband says its too much negative energy coming to me that could mess me up
