I think at work, under particular circumstances, CW is helpful.


At home, I can see how it MIGHT be helpful. Like...I'm talking to my friend, but I'm expecting an important call, so I have to take it...situations like that.


But to just put someone on hold cause maybe the next call might be more fun? Nah.

Yes. Much clearer in many marginal areas. But they are not mutually exclusive. We used to have both but preferred the land-line when at home. It even had a CORD!

As for call-waiting, I'd just tell someone to call me back later. Waiting on hold is bad enough when you HAVE to do it, like for gov't agencies, etc.
