If you are familiar with the Podcast or TV series Dirty John, you have heard him being described as a sociopath. But I think he share the trades of a Psychopath instead. What do you think?

Haven't seen the show or heard the podcast, but sociopath and psychopath, according to some sources, are pretty much the same thing. Perhaps you'd like to elaborate, on how you see those two defined?

Yes, I posted the pic above.
Not sure if you can open it. I use to think they were the same, but they are a little different.
This is from link I posted.

Psychopath:
Study shows the condition is 60 % heritable
Are likely to be educated and have a good career
Controlled behavior
Highly manipulative
Completely unable to form personal attachments
Take calculated risks and participate in fraud schemes and minimizing evidence.

Sociopath
Environmental upbringing
Uneducated and unable to hold a steady job
Erratic behaviour,rage and anger
Impulsive and Spontaneous
Form attachment to particular individual or group
Crimes committed by these people are likely to be spontaneous and sloppy.

The person I am talking about is a real person. I feel like he is more of a psychopath than a sociopath based on what I read and seen.

They are not the same. Sociopaths are capable of empathy, but only to a small faction of people. Psychopaths are not capable at all, and are much more severe on the antisocial personality disorder.

Apparently Dirty John is a Sociopath according to wiki, it sounds like his father may have been a Psychopath, and that exposure to him may have turned him into a sociopath it says he really looked up to his father.

Yes, his father was something else. But his sister seemed to have turned out "normal"...

Thank you, OP and sean1. This is interesting; these differences have never been presented on this forum before. Good topic!

You can't really blame them everywhere they go its front page on some website somewhere. Imagine Mariah Carey at christmas time? lol The fame can turn people into Narcissists as everything they do is projected at something major. They are also used to everything getting done the way they want it when they want it. That much power, and control can go to someone's head. Mariah Carey is also Bipolar, and that plays into narcissism a lot. Many people confuse narcissism for bipolar disorder as well.
