at work since i do payroll and timekeeping i see the week as starting on sunday, then 5 work days M-F, then saturday after that. because that is how timecards are posted and i have to see the days that way.
in my own life i see the work week as M-F 5 blocks, then the weekend 2 blocks at the end.
the most important day for me is the Sabbath and everything revolves around the Sabbath. it provides life to the days preceding it and the days after it. in that scenario the only day that has a name is the Sabbath. the other days are just the 6 days leading up to the Sabbath.
For example,...I see the days of the week as five blocks in a row with two blocks centered on the left side of the five blocks. The five blocks are Monday-Friday and the two blocks are Saturday and Sunday. When I count the days of the week in my mind I’m hopping from one block to the next and when I reach the Friday block the whole thing turns around and I hop onto Saturday’s block to continue counting. I use to see the months of the year like the numbers on a clock. It’s now two rows of months, six months per row.
My week starts on Monday not on Sunday. That's how I count the days in my mind.
When I count hours I always visualize analog clock. I can do it in a second. Visualizing digital clock takes me much longer.
I have pretty accurate idea of length but only in cm/m. I can't visualize correctly anything in inches/ft/yards.
Generally I am a visual person, I can do math in my head, but I need to "see" what I am doing.
Never thought about it before..
The near future looks like a a series of landscapes, individual pictures joined together like a comic strip. The first couple of days are visible, but then the strip goes over a hill and I can't see more.
That's just weird.
