Inagadadavida kind of does that for me.

But Barry White's voice never did anything for me. Always sounded kind of oily to me, and it always made me kind of cringy. But you know...we're all different.

At one of the nursing homes I worked at we had a security guard at the front desk who had that really deep Barry White voice. I !oved listening to him when he made announcements over the P.A. system!

I have actually thought, at times, that if I were a man trying to get laid, I would do everything in my power to cultivate an accent. A British one would work fine, but there are several others that would do, and toss that around in America, get the American women all excited.

Short of traveling to another country, one might spend all of quarantine watching nothing but British TV and movies, avoiding American accents whenever possible, maybe that would work? It would probably wear off pretty fast, though...
That was in Love, Actually too! British guy couldn't get laid to save his life so he came to America and made out like a bandit! I like accents too, except for New Yawk and New England for some reason.

I'd say that's where the main difference lies. Men are far more likely to make the first move when they see someone attractive. What you mention about downright scary interactions is also true. Men are far less likely on average to find themselves in those kind of situations (though they most certainly do happen).

I had a CT scan and they gave me headphones.. the worst part of the test was listening to Barry White while trapped in the machine.
