It happened again with your next post which is truncated. I have no idea what you were going to day.

That was strange. I can quote from it but you just can't see it on the page. This was my response:

But we are getting way off topic....

Thank you. In any case I have never attended any such group, never needed one so far. Ultimately one needs to dig deep into our own inner resources and come to terms with what is and deal with it. I don't believe shutting out the world is the answer. It has some lessons.
Karma works its own way, in its own time, and there is no escape from that.

Of course. Choosing to attend a support group doesn't preclude doing any of this. There's always the possibility of learning something useful from the experiences of others who've been or are currently in the same shoes. If you try a group but don't find it helpful no crime no foul. You can start or stop whenever you want!

Ya gotta unplug from it from time to time. There is so much information that we're privy to these days that it becomes information overload. If it's not paradox of choice we're grappling with, it's the trauma around the world, or being inundated with everyone under the sun's opinion on a topic. The internet and overall interconnectedness is the best and worst thing that's happened to humanity.

Either is fine. I stopped watching the news a long time ago. My son and nephew tell me what I need to know or watch.

I find this forum is helpful like a support group! It is informative how some people deal with grief over calamities by shutting off the world. But the world never goes away, it is always with us. It can make us humble to know how little power we have to effect change. And when it does happen what a blessing it is.
