I think I get what the OP is saying. There's definitely sarcastic or insincere 'thank yous' out there, both verbal and written. I've gotten plenty of them that rubbed me the wrong way. Simply ignoring attitude like this is usually my method. Act like you didn't notice and kill them back with kindness.
