what youre describing is children with irresponsible or lazy parents. take it out on the ADULT, not the child who doesn't know any better

Children are naturally bratty. They try to fool the adults to anything that favours them.

no, children who are not properly disciplined are bratty. i was raised by a strict mom and i was never a brat. a little precocious and sometimes talkative, but never bratty

Going back to the original post - I decided at 18 never to have children. My husband and I are now in our 50's and have never regretted that decision. We are a warm and caring couple. I admit that I relate far better to dogs and other animals than children.

OR we (childfree) are in such a GOOD place in our lives, that we don't want a child to ruin it for us? I swear, some parents just seem delusional. No offense.

I think kids growing up with internet and games these days will grow up to be anti-social adults. They don't communicate with anyone! They spend most of their time blowing things up on the computer screen. Boys at least - I honestly don't know what little girls do these days LOL. I know most of them start having sex at like 12-13.

When I was growing up, we at least played outside with OTHER CHILDREN.

I think I do! Is there some kind of a rule written in the book of life that says "YOU MUST HAVE CHILDREN. YOU MUST GIVE UP YOUR LIFE IN ORDER TO RAISE ANOTHER PERSON, BECAUSE YOUR LIFE DOES NOT AND SHOULD NOT BELONG TO YOU".

children represent what we as adults used to be before we were corrupted by the world
Alot of dogs of have those traits as well. Yet there are plenty of people that don't like them.

Yup, childfree people are every bit as selfish as the majority of parents. I have yet to hear one altruistic reason why a parent decides to have a child.

The truly selfless parents are the ones who decide to adopt instead of having their own biological children.
