This is a fun quiz that asks you questions about words and phrases you use, and how you pronounce them, and then, based on your answers, it generates a list of three major cities (and the surrounding areas) that your dialect matches.

That's nuts!!! It got my city correct also.

I'm a native New Yorker and my family all got NYC area top 3's (Brooklyn, Yonkers, Jersey City).

Me? I got DC-Baltimore-Richmond. In college, people often thought I was from the south. In fact, one friend pegged it as being a Northern Virginian accent. Strange, I know...

I thought it was pretty amazing!! There were some interesting phrases on that quiz that I never realized were so connected to different regions of the country.

Although it did make me think of this map:
