Nice fish SJ. Good job. Nothing special with the pompano, just 2/0 circle hooks with live shrimp. They're pretty thick there now as a few guide boats were targeting them there. Fish em up.

There is nothing worse than hearing the feeding frenzy and not being able to get outside fast enough to get a line in the water before the school moves on.

Well not today!

Yes. Sometimes you can hear them moving through the canal...
I always have my trusty 8', 6" howitzer rod/reel ready with a zara...

The rod is always ready with a DOA shrimp but I'm usually too slow....I don't really think it matters what you have on the end of the line, if you are able to cast into the frenzy you are going to pull out a fish.

That's an old Penn.

So this is it, my fishing by friends. What a wonderful time I have had fishing with many of you and chatting with you all. My business will bring me back through herecfrom time to time but not often enough for me. Cherish every day as a gift from God and be thankful you are living in such a beautiful place.

Safe safe. Tight lines, fair winds and calm seas to you all.

Bill
