For those of you that want to sit on the couch, practice your skills at tying different types of fishing knots. Just get some line, or better yet, some leader material and tie some swivels and hooks on 'em. Or just some line and learn to tie knots - fast.

Actually you can tie all kinds of different knots - not just fishing.

I do it all the time, when I have some down time, and aren't out drinking beer and making new friends.

Here is a site that lets you just click on a knot type, so you can sit there and go step by step through the process of tying all different types of knots (each has different purposes and uses). Its fun and everybody can do it.

Just don't do it alone, cuz someone has to be there to untangle you!

When you get back - we will definitely go out again. I want to get our buddy MA out again too! I owe him an outing on my boat.

I make a lot of rig sets, on slow days, here around the house. I use a lot of these knots and they work great, whether your tying line to line knots, making your own subuki rigs, boating and hitch knots, knots in the middle of the line, tying hooks, swivels, - what ever.

And they are fun. You can sit on your couch and grab a piece of line and just start tying things - different knots for fun.

Just make sure you have a knife handy so you can get out without calling for help!! That can be embarrassing!

Good stuff there, BH. Yes, I'd like to call in that marker this year.
I just returned from 2 weeks on the road; PA, NJ, NY, AZ, CA.
I've started installing a lawn irrigation system that is taking up most of my free weekends but I may take a buddies offer to spend Sunday fishing. All work, no play...right?
