"E"ither way or "I"ther way. When I get to Florida, Bealls is where I go - with Bells on. Hate the silent A, love the store.

You could also refer to it as my mother does, as "Balls"...this despite multiple corrections on my part- she still insists on calling the place "Balls"..... for some reason THAT irritates me to no end, but she isn't going to change.

I thought it rhymed with eels, but when I moved to Florida I asked the store clerk and she assured me it was pronounced bells.

Or as the Miami Cubans pronounce it ( Spanish, doncha know)... "Pooontha Goorrrrrrrtha" ( trilling the rrr's as they pronounce Spanish words.

Or as I"ve heard any number of locals pronounce it, "Punnagorda"...

And how many ways is "Aqui Esta" Drive pronounced?

I've heard "AKwy Esta" or as I'd figure on pronouncing the words in Spanish, "AKee ESta".....

And "Balls Outlet", of course, as my mother insists on calling the store....
