My wife and I went Saturday to do our civic duty. Pretty good turn out at the Library, had my "I voted Early" sticker on my shirt while shopping and received a nice comment from the Publix cashier. She also voted early and mentioned a line when she went. So maybe we will get more than the usual 5% mid-term turn out.

DH and I have decided to wait till election day, since we can and I don't anticipate long lines there-we live in a more or less low population area, and vote in a church down the road, so I figured it won't take us that long to do it. I'd be happy to see some lines, that means more folks are voting. But we will see.

We've always voted in every election, no matter which one it was.

When I voted early last week in PG there were a few people in the booths but no line waiting. That's the way I like it!

I like to see the lines. I just wish everyone would vote. I have only missed voting 1 time, but I had no choice in the matter. It just makes me feel good.

I agree that it would be nice to see more people vote BUT only if they actually take the time to educate themselves about the candidates and issues and not just vote because of what they hear in the taken-out-of-context media clips and negative commercials or worse yet they vote for who's leading in the polls because they want to be on the winning team.

Arrived at 7:30 am at my voting site and not a lot of people there. In and out in less than 5 minutes.
I voted in the primary here but before that I last voted in Ca.
I was asked for my ID twice this morning to confirm who I was, and they checked my signature, lol.
Never happened in Ca!!!!! Not once, just gave my name and they asked if I lived at **** ***** St., no checking or any follow up. Mod edit

I am so happy to be back in a NORMAL state!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people take the small things in life for granted, but after you loose them not so much.

Can't wait for 2016!!!!!!

PS ---- LOVE FLORIDA, my home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the bright side, I went bike riding yesterday (election day) back behind the Char. Co. Sports Complex. Voting was taking place across the street at the fair grounds and there was a steady stream of cars to and from the parking lot. Glad to see people involved in the process.
