Are you talking about the ramp at Edgewater & Lakeside? I was just there earlier in the week and all looked good.

Sounds like he's talking about the dock at the Spring Lake Boat Ramp. Lakeside?? Where's that?

I went by the Spring Lake boat launch again today...it is as Jet boats said. While it doesn't have the Keep Off sign anymore, they do have the end section on both docks closed. The ramp is still open and there were 4 or 5 trailers parked in the lot.

I rode my bike past Spring Lake yesterday to see how things were progressing, both on the Spring Lake park renovations and Edgewater Drive project.
The boat ramp is taped off with caution tape. Other than that, nothing has been done to it. On the other hand, they are working on the wooden walkway that runs along the shoreline off of Lakeview. I would have figured that they would make repairs to the boat ramp docks first and at least get that back in service but I forgot, we're in Port Charlotte!
On a side note, I did see a pink Spoonbill in one of the newly created retention ponds at the corner of Edgewater & Lakeview.

I think to just give the impression that it's still a construction zone. Don't see any other reason for it.
