I would like to launch my 20' dual console boat at the spring lake boat ramp but am wondering if it will fit under the bridge on Edgewater. Can any one tell me the clearance for that bridge? I have a Bimini and I guess I need 6' or 7' with it up. Thanks

Harbor Hopper has a huge cruiser that fits under there. I'm quite sure your boat will. Just to be sure, check the tides and don't launch at the peak tide of +2'. I've been under there with my T-top and I'm sure you will fit.

You'll fit no problem. After under the bridge stay in the channel, it gets very shallow outside it. Where that canal meets the harbor is also very shallow, you need to make a left and head straight for the PC beach.

Thanks for the info, I look at the bridge while crossing over and it looks like a very low clearance

You might want to check at activecaptain.com.

Do you have charts for the area?

7-8ft will be just fine. That bridge is 10ft mean clearance (I live on W. Spring Lake, so trust me). You will never have to worry, even at the highest summer tides. Of course, if it's a true bimini top, then it is easy to lower, so you can get under even shorter bridges.
When Edgewater Dr is torn up next spring, this bridge will be rebuilt to approx 10.5 ft, so a few more inches of clearance than what we have now.
