Jeff, We had cement work done at our home and were very pleased with them and their price. We had our driveway extended to 3 car width, we had a sidwalk put in around the side of the garage, and we had a cement drive put in the entryway of our extra lot. Custom Concrete and Masonry - 941-769-0509.

Keep in mind that most cement contractors will require a minimum $ amount. We had a few extra cement projects done while they were at our house just to cover the minimum. Otherwise you are paying for something and not getting it. So, if you need a sidewalk or extra pad or something, ask about there minimum charge.

Thanks Tammy, we talked to a Bradley A Ray concrete contractor to remove the old 8x10 off the living room and replace it with a 14 x16 stamped concrete pad for a future lanai .....do you know if you need a concrete pad for a 10x10 utility shed? or can they be set on level ground? I will ask if they have a minimum or if I have reached that amount. thanks, Jeff

Are you getting the shed from a local shed company or building one? It requires a permit and tie downs/anchors to meet hurricane standards, but you don't have to have a concrete pad. If you buy a prebuilt one from a company they usually order the permit for you and will install it and get it inspected. The prebuilt ones already have a floor in them.

We got our shed from Robin Builders, awesome people. NO pad required, it has a floor. They got the permit, trucked it in and installed it. They put the tie downs on. The inspector was so impressed he said he was getting one from them. Hubby built a ramp so we can get the lawn tractor in and out and built flower boxes around it and it actually looks really nice.

Prices at Robin builders is WAY cheaper than those wooden things they sell at Home Depot. Compare both and see the savings.

I second Robin Builders. We bought our shed in North Port from them. They are on the corner of 41 and Toledo Blade. We got our shed for our house in Port Charlotte from a company in Tucker's Grade because Robin Builders didn't have a large enough one.
