We recently got a couple of names recommended to us for dock and boat lift estimates, and were wondering if anyone out there in the forum arena can comment on them.......good or bad? The first one is Duncan seawall, dock and boat lifts, from Sarasota, and the other is Innovative Marine Structures, from Placida.

As you all probably know by now, we are located in the South Gulf Cove area. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide!

There's also Honc Docks & lifts out of Cape Coral. They did our dock and installed a 16k lift that I bought on Craigslist. My neighbor likes Florida Marine Construction out of Matlacha.
I would steer clear of Charlotte County Seawalls. They are VERY expensive.
I've also heard good things about Duncan.
Check craigslist for the lift. Lots of deals out there. Mine was like new, with controls, and they delivered it to my house from Ft Myers. $2,200 for a $7,000 lift!

I used Marine Contracting Group out of Punta Gorda. They hooked me up with another customer of their's who was selling a lift less than a year old. They did a great job.

MikeM and Harbor Hopper.........I contacted Honc docks, but he said they are not giving out estimates in Charlotte County anymore, and recommended Parr AND Charlotte County Seawalls. We will try Parr tomorrow, (not the other one), and thanks so much!

Parr does good work, did some for me, but they schedule appointment days and then no-show quite often. He has trouble keeping dependable labor. On the good side, the prices are fair and the work was good. Bring your patience on the time frames, though.
If it doesn't work out, I can get you another referral of a guy currently doing some work next-door to me. I'll be fishing all day tomorrow but I will check back here on Sunday.
