I had my keeper box cleaned out of crabs (almost a dozen) a few years ago...neighbors said it was most likely an otter. I haven't crabbed since.

Smile Crabbing

I used to have a friend with a house at the end of Edgewater. Sadly he moved so I'm looking for a place to drop my traps. That said I had extremely good luck using grouper heads. My buddy used chicken necks. I would catch roughly a dozen a week and they tasted like grouper (crabs taste like what they eat) he caught less then 3-4 crabs and tasted like rotten chicken. I'm from Phila. used to crab in jersey bunker up there! Been crabbing since 18 months. My favorite meal to say the least!
